ToekomstATELIERdelAvenir (TADA) engages citizens and companies in the empowerment of youngsters growing up in vulnerable socio-economic environments and their communities via weekend schooling and an alumni network. TADA motivates citizens and businesses to contribute to a more inclusive society.

In our 5 weekend schools, we inspire over 800 socially vulnerable young kids every Saturday. After three years in our weekend schools, these teenagers become alumni. Currently, TADA supports more than 1500 of these alumni through our alumni network.

The alumni network of TADA aims primarily to maintain sustainable relationships with our youngsters (13+) after they have completed their 3-year journey at the TADA weekend school. We continue to support them in their personal development by providing a homework place and mentorship. Additionally, we organize various activities in collaboration with TADA partners, with the goal of connecting our youngsters with other organizations & individuals to expand their networks. TADA also offers training & opportunities for our youngsters to develop skills and become role models for other TADA children, their friends, their communities, and society. With its’ 'TADA for Life' mission, the TADA alumni network embodies the concept of a lifelong learning & networking journey.

To further develop the TADA alumni network, we are looking for a bilingual alumni coordinator who will coordinate our alumni network for our antennas in Molenbeek, through maintaining contact with our youngsters, while continuing to stimulate their personal development.

What does this role entail?

As an "Alumni Network Coordinator," you will ensure the smooth running of the alumni network (13+) on a weekly basis. You will coordinate and participate in the organization of weekly and monthly activities, coach alumni to help build a real alumni network and motivate young people to remain active and engaged in this network. Your responsibilities include:

  • Being the contact person for the alumni from our antennas in Molenbeek: ensuring they are aware of activities organized by TADA and external partners, encouraging them to participate, sharing opportunities, and monitoring school reports.
  • Coordinating a weekly homework place: your role is to prepare and follow-up on presences, discipline and the pedagogical approach, as well as to coach volunteers.
  • Organizing and participating in activities that are interesting to different age generations of TADA alumni: City game, sports activities, etc. You identify opportunities with external partners, build a network, and maintain good relationships with alumni network volunteers.
  • Coordinating the buddy systems for the alumni from Molenbeek: TADA organizes a buddy system where volunteers can individually mentor an alumnus.a. You will organize the matchings between buddies and TADA alumni, and ensure the follow-up (contact with buddies/alumni & coaching).
  • Coordinating the helper project for the alumni from Molenbeek: In the classes of our weekend school, alumni (helpers) support the pedagogical coordinators. You are responsible for the selection of these helpers, training and coaching. 

What profile are we looking for?

  • You are bilingual in French/Dutch. You have a good knowledge of English.
  • You have a proactive attitude and good organizational & planning skills. You enjoy being active and are ready to take action when needed.
  • You are enthusiastic and dynamic
  • You are able to motivate and coach youngsters, concrete experience working with young people (13-18 years) is a plus.
  • You are able to use common computer applications without difficulty.
  • You are available to work on Saturdays/Sundays during alumni activities (+/- 10 per year) & evenings for some events.
