Our Board of Directors consists of Geert Duyck (Managing Partner at CVC Capital Partners), Isabelle Callens (Professor at UCL & Head of Public Affairs& Communication at ORES), Jacques de Vaucleroy (Chairman of the Board of Directors at Swiss Re), Jean Mossoux (Expert in Family Business & Non-profit Development and Author), Kande Kazadi (Partner at Bain & Company), and Pieter De Witte (CEO of TADA).
While working as an advisor in the European Parliament, Sofie Foets was confronted with the educational inequality in Brussels. A meeting in the Parliament with Heleen Terwijn (founder of IMC Weekendschool, the model that served as inspiration) provided the spark. Driven in part by a love for her capital city, she launched an initiative in 2012 that would change thousands of lives and mark the beginning of TADA.
Sofie’s vision gave our organization its initial compass: by engaging citizens and the private sector, we offer young people from socially vulnerable backgrounds a rich environment to discover their unique talents. We owe a great deal to the courage and drive of our founder, which continue to form TADA’s strong foundation today.
