Alors qu'elle travaillait comme conseillère au Parlement européen, Sofie Foets a été confrontée aux inégalités scolaires à Bruxelles. Une rencontre au Parlement avec Heleen Terwijn (fondatrice d'IMC Weekendschool, le modèle qui a servi d'inspiration) a été le déclic décisif. Portée notamment par l'amour pour sa capitale, elle a lancé en 2012 une initiative qui allait changer des milliers de vies et marquer le coup d'envoi de TADA.
La vision de Sofie a donné à notre organisation sa boussole de départ : en impliquant les citoyens et le secteur privé, nous offrons aux jeunes issus de milieux socialement vulnérables un environnement riche pour découvrir leurs talents uniques. Nous devons énormément à l'audace et à la détermination de notre fondatrice, qui constituent encore aujourd'hui les fondations solides de TADA.
When Sofie Foets worked as an advisor in the European Parliament, she was confronted with educational inequality in Brussels. A meeting at the Parliament with Heleen Terwijn (founder of IMC Weekendschool, the model that served as our inspiration) provided the decisive spark. Deeply driven by a love for her capital city, she launched an initiative in 2012 that would
change thousands of lives and mark the beginning of TADA.
Sofie’s vision gave our organization its initial compass: by engaging citizens and the private sector, we offer youngsters from socio-economically vulnerable backgrounds an enriched environment to discover their unique talents. We owe an immense debt of gratitude to our founder's courage
and determination, qualities that continue to form the strong foundation
of TADA today.
